was redd foxx really at peace at the time of his transformation to the other side?

whilst having a discussion with my friend last night about the trials and tribulations (unjustly functions) of all of the happenings of today, there was a question that came up..."was redd foxx actually at peace when he passed away because he was left with nothing"???
i actually pondered on this question during my regularly scheduled walk home...and i decided to create a blog surrounding our conversation.
my question to anyone reading within the vision of this blog, is having many possessions worth the harmony of your internal and eternal well being? are all the things we work so diligently to gain the virtue of our very existence?
the essential reasons a number of humans wish to obtain  stupendous amounts of possessions is because we are constantly reminded of this "american dream" that we are to create for ourselves.  if one doesn't achieve this level of stature, they are deemed as "poor" or "lower class". even the youth encounter this issue.  going to school is pure hell for some if they don't have the new trainers on...(unless you acknowledge the goth culture)...lol

with that being said...this is why many schools now require uniforms for students...

anyways, the question i pose would be as simple as this-are folks really content with the lives they live when it comes to not maintaining the more balanced simple life? yes, there comes some issues with not having much (the struggle is at times a thorn in many of sides), but the art of survival is usually most sought after when tragedy strikes (i am pretty assured fellow readers comprehend this statement). i am at ease to know that i have survived the struggle to be aware of what is to come when i have that ability to have access to this "dream"...
what i have noticed is that rich folks have short lived marriages (and alimony payments up the arse), while the couples that outlived the struggle gained a substantial amount of wisdom
and have learned to appreciate the time that the universe has bestowed upon them.

one of the major issues surrounding a death such as redd foxx's (no resources, money, etc) would be issues of the will. the most nervewracking  event following someone's demise.  i actually witnessed events such as these accompanying my stepfather's death. it was an ugly sight, i tell ya!!! he had nothing to go by, so family members just did anything at free will. i was unaware of the process it takes during and after funeral arrangements (until then-but i still think it took a year to fully comprehend)...

so, my opinion is that i do feel many folks are content to rid the scornful ways of "the dream", and when it is their time to exit the building, they are happy to run with the theory of "you can't take it with you when you die"...

do i feel redd foxx was happy around this time? yes!!! (now i may be incorrect in saying so, but it is a feeling)...

thank you zaquan for our talk last night. it was very enlightening...

well, i was literally just discussing this with someone i know named louis tonight, about the importance of people instead of possessions... we were discussing the state of the economy and whether or not it was going to go through a deflation or inflation... the thing to do, in these times, is to invest in metals!!! buy some silver (because gold is too expensive). the only thing i really value that is with me now the most, is actually a person- lumbia.

in terms of the school uniforms, i don't agree that they exists due to some prevention of theft or jealousy/envy... in public education, the uniforms tend to be mandatory for majority-black schools. the uniforms, to me, are an example of some type of hegemonic culture. were there uniforms demanded of the students at littleton high school in ohio? in other predominately white schools around the country? white children can celebrate their individualism all they want. uniforms do nothing but instill values based on materialism; the same thing they say they are trying to fight against. it instills values of assimilation through wardrobe, but not values of self-pride or knowledge of self. schools are not programmed to do that. a uniform cannot do that either, as we can see with the military.

and redd foxx... he probably was like, 'elizabeth, i'm comin' home now!!!' or told some dirty joke. did you know that gary saw him live, years ago?
